Tabata Fat Burning Workout – Body Weight Routine
Today’s workout is a full body high intense interval training (HIIT) workout using the Tabata protocol. The tabata protocol is a simple yet effective routine that utilizes short intense bursts of exercise followed by a brief rest period. This particular workout can be completed in as little as 15 minutes and requires no equipment, only your body weight. It is perfect to complete at home when you are short on time.
The exercises used in this HIIT workout are:
– Burpees
– Mountain climbers
– Squats
The tabata protocol is a 20 second working interval followed by a 10 second rest interval, repeated 4-8 times per exercise. Complete as many reps as possible in this 20 second time frame. You can view this workout below.
Remember for this HIIT workout to be effective, it needs to be an all out effort each set.
